| The Bridges Golf Club at Casino Magic (Bay
St. Louis, Mississippi) is one of the premier golf facilities on the Gulf Coast.
Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course was one of the first certified Audubon
Sanctuary Courses and has been the subject of rave reviews since opening day.
However, like all other courses, time and Mother Nature have had their affect on
parts of the course. As a result, a number of renovation projects have been required
to improve drainage and help the course adjust to changing times. Phase I of this
plan included bringing in Watermark Golf/Nathan Crace Design to develop some drainage
improvements to the practice facility in the Fall of 2003. As a result, what had
become an eyesore and a maintenance headache now blends into the surrounding area and is
easily maintained and free of lost range balls. Start dates for
subsequent phases are yet to be determined. |
